Cinema Spice has always encouraged content creation from its fan’s and wishes to do the same for 2016. Mondays are now going to change because we want all you visual effects artists and filmmakers out there to take on our new challenge of using Adobe After Effects in your next projects. We want to showcase the best projects on our website and help you gain more viewership.

These can be any types of video or visual projects including: Motion Graphics, Logo Animations, 3D Animations, or 1-2 minute short films using visual effects. All projects must use Adobe After Effects or some other form of visual effects software.

All you need to do now is to think of an idea for a video or visual effects project, create it, polish it, and send us the link to it.We will then choose the top 5 projects we think are the best and showcase them throughout the month. Honorable mentions will be given to the runner ups. Bonus points will be given to anyone who uses any of Cinema Spice products or uses one of After Effects w/Mikey’s tutorials. Periodically, we will be accepting entries every Monday.

A film is never really good unless the camera is an eye in the head of a poet.

– Orson Welles

I really enjoy this quote by Orson Welles (Citizen Kane, The Stranger) because it boils down to who we are as filmmakers and visual FX artists; in truth we are poets. We’re creating fantastic visual sonnets to please the mind and soul inspiring new imagination in the viewer. So don’t give up and never stop creating!!

The video link above is a reel of logo animations done by the visual effects artist, Vladislav Solovjov. I’ve seen his previous projects on VK.com or Vimeo and they are breathtaking. If you want to see more of Solovjov’s work (click on this link). Have a great week guys and good luck on your projects.
